Västra Frölunda IF offers a unique opportunity for children and youth aged 6 to 13 with mobility impairments to train football in a safe and inspiring environment. Our dedicated leaders tailor the training to meet the participants' needs, focusing on joy, community, and development. The training is suitable for children who can follow instructions in a group and have challenges with running, maintaining balance, or moving in uneven terrain. In addition to football training, this is a fantastic opportunity for parents to build networks and exchange experiences. Our activities not only enhance the participants' motor skills but also promote their social development and self-confidence.

We provide full time care to 162 children in crisis without the protection and care of families. Tiny Owls Baby Home is a registered non-profit in Durbanville, Western Cape. Since 2018, we have provided a safe, nurturing, and loving space for abandoned and relinquished babies awaiting adoption. Run by a small, dedicated team, the home cares for up to six babies at a time, offering 24/7 care, medical interventions, and emotional support. Babies come through social workers, often from heartbreaking circumstances. With over 69 babies nurtured so far, Tiny Owls relies on donations and the goodwill of corporates, volunteers, and community members to keep going.

PSFA is a registered South African non-profit organisation dedicated to combating child hunger in schools. Since 1958, PSFA has served over two billion nutritious meals to impoverished learners, improving their concentration, attendance, and academic performance. PSFA’s holistic school nutrition support programme ensures thousands of children receive the nourishment they need to thrive, reinforcing the fact that you can’t teach a hungry child. A donation of only R950 will enable PSFA to feed a child for a year, and R100 will feed a child for a month. Our goal is to ensure that 500 learners will receive 2 daily meals for a year (R950 X 500 learners).

HopeTown is based in Ocean View, Cape Town, South Africa. We are a youth-based community development NGO and reach out to the disadvantaged families in the community. We offer an internship programme centred around skills training for young people who have dropped out of school. We also reach out to about 130 kids in the community with dance, art, sports, tutoring and youth events. Our small high school offers Grade 7-9 and bridges a gap to enable vocational training. The products made in the internship programme are sold at our shop locally and also online. All the proceeds go back into the organisation's goal of educating and uplifting young people from difficult backgrounds.

The Bhabhisana Baby Project is a Cape Town-based non-profit delivering early childhood intervention services to babies with developmental delays and disabilities in underserved communities. Our holistic model integrates developmental therapy, caregiver training, and community partnerships to ensure early identification and support of these babies during the critical first thousand days. We employ a family-centred, interdisciplinary approach with each team consisting of a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and speech and language therapist. They provide early therapeutic intervention and empower parents/ caregivers with the skills they need to help their baby reach their full potential.

Book Dash is a social impact publisher of open, African picture books for very young children. We work with creative volunteers to create and distribute high-quality books for preschool children to own at a fraction of traditional publishing costs. And we share our content and our model freely under an open licence, so people around the world can (and do!) use it for exponential impact.

The Homestead is a Non-Profit Organisation established in 1982 to care and support neglected and abused children. Due to extreme family environments children either live in extreme adverse realities or end up living, begging, or working in the streets. To reduce and prevent the risk of children ending up in the streets, the Homestead has six Prevention and Early Intervention Programme centres as well as two Child and Youth Care Centres (alternative living space for those in need) in and around Cape Town. The multifaceted services that we provide foster positive development of children living in dysfunctional family environments or exposed to harmful experiences that hinder normal growth.

Maar niet ieder gezin kan terugvallen op een helpend netwerk. Bij Samen Oplopen komen zij in contact met een vaste vrijwilliger die een periode naast hen wil staan. Een professionele begeleider is beschikbaar waar nodig, maar wij geloven vooral in de kracht van vrijwilligers die vanuit vertrouwen en nabijheid aansluiten bij wat ouders nodig hebben. Lotus Private School is in 2018 in Mpongwe, Zambia opgericht door de daar woonachtige Nederlandse Jennifer Peeters. Samen met de gemeenschap zijn er sportteams opgericht (voetbal en netbal). Nu zijn wij op zoek naar de financiële middelen om een basketbal- en volleybalveld aan te leggen. Op deze manier hopen wij bij te dragen aan het creëren van positieve rolmodellen, een nuttige vrijetijdsbesteding en preventief ook tegen het hoge risico op middelengebruik zoals alcohol, codeïne en andere middelen. Daarnaast willen we de bestaande velden verbeteren (nieuwe goals) en sportmaterialen aanschaffen voor sportteams en de gymlessen voor de leerlingen van de school.

Project Sammaan (ECD): Stimuleren van kleuteronderwijs om kinderarbeid en vroege huwelijken te voorkomen. Project Kosheli: Verstrekken van noodzakelijke schoolspullen (rugzakken, uniformen) aan de allerarmsten. Project Bright Nepal: Volledige ondersteuning van een kleinschalig weeshuis in Kathmandu. Project Sunwar: Directe financiering van schoolgelden voor kwetsbare families.

Wij bestrijden armoede en onrecht door jongeren en families in Oost Congo te ondersteunen op hun weg naar zelfredzaamheid. Met ons bewezen concept bieden wij diverse vakopleidingen aan in combinatie met de begeleiding bij het opzetten van een eigen bedrijf in groepsverband. Zo helpen wij jongeren om binnen één jaar zelfstandig in hun eigen levensonderhoud te voorzien. Dit doen zij door het zelf genereren van een duurzaam inkomen. Daarnaast begeleiden we jongeren bij agrarisch ondernemerschap. Dit heeft niet alleen een positieve impact op de jongeren en hun families, maar draagt ook bij aan de gehele gemeenschap. De saamhorigheid groeit en het aantal conflicten neemt af.

Notre premier objectif c'est de rompre la solitude des malades en organisant des rencontres internationales associées à des consultations avec les médecins experts. Rencontrer d'autres malades, en particulier pour des enfants, c'est ne plus être seul, pouvoir se construire et se sentir appartenir à une "famille". Nos objectifs, c'est aussi d'aider la recherche, faire connaitre la maladie et permettre aux malades de recevoir le suivi et la prise en charge dont ils ont besoin, partout dans le monde.
